Paving on a newly twinned portion of Highway 7 west of Saskatoon is starting this week.
Crews will be paving a 13 kilometre section starting from four kilometres west of the Highway 60 junction towards Vanscoy.
Work is expected to be completed this year.

There is also a change coming to traffic patterns on Highway 16 east of Saskatoon where twinning work continues on the highway to Clavet.
Starting Aug. 9. traffic will be detoured onto the newly completed westbound lanes for six kilometres from just west of Clavet.
The detour will allow crews to complete the tie-ins for the eastbound lanes.
Access to Clavet will be maintained via Highway 306 and the current Highway 16.
The newly twinned highway is expected to open to traffic in 2017.

There are now three highway twinning projects underway in Saskatchewan – the third is on Highway 39 from Bienfait to Estevan.
“We are building a safer and more efficient highway network by twinning some of our busiest roads,” said Highways and Infrastructure Minister Nancy Heppner.
“We appreciate everyone’s patience as crews work to finish these important projects.
Officials are reminding drivers to slow down in construction zones and obey posted speed limits.
