Saskatoon construction workers will be on the overnight shift for the third year in a row.
City officials are once again employing road crews to work between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. CT on high-traffic streets.

Drivers can expect night work to occur on Circle Drive and Idywyld in the city’s north-west.
City officials are asking motorists to be aware and obey the signage when passing by a night construction zone.
“We try to make sure we have advanced signing, lots of reflective cones, the delineators and everything marking the areas people should look out for,” said Celene Anger, the city’s construction and design director.
“In some of the high traffic areas we do ask the police to come out with their lights, so that just another marker to let people know that we’re there.”

Anger said working at night allows large projects to be completed quicker with minimal disruption to drivers.
Road work started this season in late May and will continue until mid-October if the weather holds.
In total, 229 kilometres of roadway will undergo re-construction in 2016.
