A staff member at the Coast Capri Hotel in Kelowna confirmed that someone fell off a hotel balcony Tuesday evening.
Emergency crews were called to the hotel on Harvey Avenue just before 9:30 p.m.

Police believe the 40-year-old man from Ontario fell by accident.
Fire officials said he landed on a pergola, a type of outdoor gazebo.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
