Comedian Kevin Hart is on the hunt for fresh comedic talent at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal.

The star is listening to pitches from groups for his new online streaming service, set to launch next year.

Ten finalists were offered two minutes to pitch their best pilot idea to Hart and his team.

Among them was a three-person comedy group formed out of Concordia University, called Moving Mind Studio.

Moving Mind Studio, founded in 2010, has a YouTube channel that includes short sketches, similar to Saturday Night Live satire.

In describing itself, the group writes on Facebook: “hilarious videos, witty writing, excellent camera work, spot-on editing and a multitude of other qualities (such as modesty).”

The group was among 500 entrants who applied to join Hart’s Laugh Out Loud Network, a joint venture with Lionsgate Studios set to launch as a comedic video-on-demand service.

“I like to shake up the establishment,” Hart said, adding that he wants to provide a platform for talented comics.

In the end, all 10 acts went home winners – Hart said he would include all of them in his upcoming comedy series.
