The cleanup was underway early this morning after the festivities in English Bay last night.
Thousands gathered for the Celebration of Light fireworks display and quite a mess was left behind.
Dozens of city workers spent the night cleaning up to ensure there is no mess leftover for beach-goers this morning.
Last night, Australia lit up the sky over Vancouver for the second show of the annual Celebration of Light.
More than 200,000 people took in the show and according to police, the crowd was well-behaved.
The competition wraps up Saturday with team USA and a special display from Walt Disney representatives.
“Pretty good crowd again,” said Const. Brian Montague with the Vancouver Police Department. “Family-orientated. We had a handful of arrests, but for the most part, very minor in nature.”
