The first NewLeaf flight landed in Kelowna from Winnipeg at 3:17 p.m. Monday afternoon.

“NewLeaf opens Kelowna’s doors to travellers on a budget from all over the country,” Sam Samaddar, YLW Airport Director said in a press release. “It also brings new opportunity for leisure travellers to share in and experience all that the Okanagan has to offer.”
The NewLeaf Travel Company offers passengers lower fares with one class, high density seating.
Extra fees are charged for priority boarding, on-board drinks, snacks, and carry-on and checked luggage.
“Our partnership with YLW and the new city pairings offers Canadians an opportunity to explore a beautiful region in the country – affordably,” Jim Young, NewLeaf Travel Company President and CEO said. “This is a step in the right direction for Canadian air travellers.”
NewLeaf travel has contracted a local Kelowna company, Flair Air, to be it’s carrier.
NewLeaf now offers scheduled flights from Kelowna to Winnipeg, Regina and Saskatoon, with same plane service to Hamilton.
