A resident in the neighbourhood told Global News she woke up Sunday morning to the sound of gunshots.

“I saw police cars, ambulance and stretchers,” the resident said.

“It doesn’t make me feel good. I felt very safe in this area, but it seems like now everywhere you go, there is no more safe place.”

Another resident has been living the area for six years and she said she was shocked to see the police cars Sunday morning.

“I think it’s really sad and I think a lot of peoples’ lives have changed after tonight and it’s just really sad,” she said.
