Fishing crew aboard drifting boat rescued off Newfoundland

ST. JOHN’S, N.L. – The crew of a damaged Newfoundland fishing boat is safe after a coast guard vessel was dispatched Wednesday to pull it away from a rocky shoreline.

The Nautical Twilight was off Torbay Point when its engine died.

As the boat started to drift toward shore, the crew called for help.

The coast guard ship George R. Pearkes quickly secured the smaller boat and towed it to St. John’s Harbour.
