Eight empty rail cars derailed at 97 Street and 127 Avenue in Edmonton early Sunday morning.
According to CN, it happened while the cars were moving in the Edmonton yard around 5 a.m.

A spokesperson for CN said no injuries were reported and no dangerous goods were involved. They said the cars were in the process of being rerailed Sunday afternoon.

According to CN, the cause of the derailment remains under investigation.
