All severe weather watches and warnings issued for the Capital Region Friday were dropped by 8:15 p.m.

Earlier Friday afternoon, Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the City of Edmonton, St. Albert and Sherwood Park. It was downgraded to a watch about an hour later.
