Police are looking for help in finding two persons of interest in the death of a five-year-old Calgary boy.
Emilio Perdomo was killed last summer in Calgary.
His mother in Mexico sent the child to Canada for a better life in February 2014.
He was sent to live with his grandparents, Allan Perdomo Lopez and Carolina Perdomo, in southeast Calgary. They are now wanted for questioning in the case.
Emilio was seen by a doctor about two months after he arrived in Canada, and was found to be in good health.
Then, in July, he was taken to a clinic and later rushed to the Alberta Children’s Hospital “suffering from injuries that family members attributed to numerous accidents,” police said.
The child died in hospital on July 17, 2015.
Police said he had swelling and bruising all over his body, as well as other serious injuries, “which was not consistent with the activities of a child his age,” police said. He died as a result of multiple blunt force trauma injuries. His death has been deemed a homicide.
Global News has tried to speak to Allan and Carolina Perdomo about the case, but they declined to comment.
Now, police want to speak with 56-year-old Perdomo Lopez and 49-year-old Perdomo.
