Woman assaulted, robbed while walking on a Saskatoon street

Saskatoon police have one person in custody and are looking for two more after a woman was robbed and assaulted.

Police say the 19-year-old woman was walking in the area of Avenue S and 21st Street at around 3:45 p.m. CT on Wednesday when a woman approached her.

She then proceeded to punch and kick her.

Two other women joined the assault and the victim was sprayed with bear mace.

They then fled with her purse.

The victim of the attack suffered minor injuries.

Police have arrested a 19-year-old woman and are still searching for two more women.
