Winnipeg’s Elmwood Kildonans Pool closed after fire, again

WINNIPEG — For the second time in two years, a fire closed down the Elmwood Kildonans Pool.

The fire started Monday afternoon in the basement of the building on Concordia Avenue. This led to the city temporarily closing the pool until the damage can be assessed.

Once the damage is known the City of Winnipeg will provide an update, according to a news release.

An electrical fire in May 2014 closed the pool down for a year. It reopened May 9, 2015.
