Alberta Premier Alison Redford will be taking part in Calgary’s Pride Week festivities.
She became the first Alberta premier to attend Edmonton’s Gay Pride festival in June, and now she’ll be the first to attend Calgary’s festival.

The premier isn’t riding in the Pride Parade on September 2nd, but plans to make a public statement afterwards.
Alberta Wildrose Leader Danielle Smith was also at the Edmonton festival, but has not contacted Calgary organizers about whether she plans to attend.
