Officials say the upgrades will meet the increased demands for services at the three parks.

“Our provincial parks continue to have increasing levels of visitation every year,” said Mark Docherty, the minister of parks, culture and sport.

“Projects like these provide important infrastructure to support those visits and continue to provide high quality visitor experiences.”

At Cypress Hills, the sewage lagoon will be upgraded and expanded as the current lagoon is undersized for the park.

Work at Moose Mountain includes upgrading the pumping, ventilation, electrical and mechanical systems of the main sewage lift system while the water treatment plant at Good Spirit Lake will be upgraded.
