KELOWNA–Aboriginal Day celebrations launched a little early in Kelowna, as the Metis Community Services Society of B.C. chose to hold its event in conjunction with Father’s Day.
There was drumming and singing in Stuart Park on Sunday, as well as face painting and crafts for the kids.

There are more Aboriginal Day celebrations to come on Tuesday at the Ki-Low-Na Friendship Society on Leon Avenue.
Indian tacos will be served by donation between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. followed by a mini pow-wow.
