Manitoba RCMP said two people were sent to hospital after a collision with a deer Saturday morning.
Officers were called to the scene just 5km south of St. Malo at 10 AM Saturday after a deer reportedly jumped out from the side of the road in front of a group of motorcyclists. One motorcycle carrying two passengers took the deer head on.
The female on the bike was taken to hospital via STARS air ambulance and the man on the bike was taken via ground ambulance. Manitoba RCMP said both are in stable condition and the deer died on impact.
All roads have been re-opened to traffic.
Officers said this is a good time to remind motorists to always be on the look out and cautious when driving on Manitoba highways.
