Just how dirty are our cellphones? Think about it, everything you touch in a day before handling your phone makes for a breeding ground of germs an bacteria.

Experts warn that our phones can host a variety of bacteria, such as E. coli. It’s been said that our phones have more germs than a toilet seat.

Global News recently tested a handful of employees phones for bacteria. In the end, the cleanest phones were the ones without a case or with a hard plastic one. Those with a rubber case gave the germs something to latch on to.

What can you do to protect yourself? It’s recommended you wash your phone with an antibacterial wipe once a day.
