WINNIPEG — A 41-year-old man is in hospital after his vehicle crashed into a ditch in Transcona early Monday morning.
It happened at the intersection of Plessis Road and Grassie Boulevard around 12:30 a.m.
Police said the driver was travelling eastbound on Grassie Boulevard and failed to stop at the intersection.
The vehicle went into the west-side ditch and the man was injured by the impact. He was sent to hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to stable.
Alcohol and manner of driving are factors in the collision, police said.
Charges are pending.
