It was a close call for a family near Ile des Chenes after a fire tore through a barn at their equestrian ranch late Thursday evening.
The blaze at Misty River Ranch, located about 10 minutes south from Winnipeg, sparked just before midnight – engulfing a barn full of agricultural equipment.

The owner, Sarah Biron said there are 60 horses at the facility but all of them were safe.
Although the barn is a complete write off, the facility is still open for business.
