More favourable weather conditions, a continued attack with water bucketing helicopters, heavy equipment and a lot more firefighters on the ground are all being credited with helping to tame the Gilpin Wildfire. It started yesterday, and quickly scorched more than 200 hectares of grassland and forest. But now the Wildfire Service appears to be gaining the upper hand. Blaine Gaffney reports.
