Caplansky’s Deli in Toronto has been suddenly closed by its landlord, a mystery leaving its owner and celebrity restaurateur scratching his head but vowing to fight back.
Zane Caplansky found a foreclosure notice from his landlord stuck to his College Street restaurant’s door Tuesday.
It said the lease terminated and the location seized due to “Failing to effect repairs not authorized by the landlord.”
Caplansky seemed bewildered in a social media post on the closure of the eatery, which opened in 2009.

“What a load of bologna!” wrote another.
