Winnipeg — Fire crews were battling a blaze in Winnipeg’s north end early Tuesday morning.
Just after 4:30 a.m. crews were dispatched to the 700 block of Selkirk Avenue for reports of a home on fire.

The blaze sparked in the rear of the home and firefighters managed to quickly get the flames under control.
No word if anyone was home at the time of the fire and no word on injuries.
The cause is under investigation.
