Oshawa cab driver charged after police say he exposed himself to ‘vulnerable’ woman

A 57-year-old taxi driver has been charged after police in Oshawa, Ont. say he exposed himself in a cab to a “vulnerable” woman who has medical issues.

Durham Regional Police said the woman took a Blue Line taxi cab on May 5 from her home in the Waverly Street South and King Street West area of Oshawa.

Police said she was heading to the Abilities Centre in Whitby and transportation to and from the centre was arranged by Durham Region Transit, who sub-contracts the rides out to Blue Line Taxi.

While the woman was being driven to the centre, police said the cab driver exposed his genitals to her while he was driving. She then reported the incident to family members who then called police.

Ray St. German of Pickering, Ont., was arrested after turning himself in to DRPS Central West Division in Whitby on May 30.

Germain has been charged with committing an indecent act and was later released on an undertaking with conditions.
