There has been a tragic accident in Surrey overnight as a pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle.
Police tell Global News that emergency crews raced to the scene at 132 Street and 101 Avenue at abou 12:45 a.m., but were not able to save the man.
The driver remained at the scene of the crash and is cooperating with police.
The victim is a 29-year-old man, but he has not been identified at this time.
Investigators are still at the scene looking into the cause of the crash.
RCMP is expected to provide more details later this morning.
A late night crash also shut down a busy stretch of road leading in and out of Langley.
At least two vehicles were involved in a bad crash on Glover Road, near 216 Street, around 10:30 p.m. Officers are also investigating that crash.
