Here’s the promo trailer for the documentary, which will air in June:
Spears, now 25, opens up about bouncing back after her career faltered in 2007 at the age of 16 when she discovered she was pregnant with daughter Maddie, now seven. The father is ex-fiancé Casey Aldridge.
“I wanna do something that I’m gonna be proud of,” Spears emotionally declares in the video. “I’m not just a child star. I’m not just someone’s sister. And I’m not just a teen mom.”

“I look back now, and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh,'” she says with tears in her eyes. “I was a child then. I needed to grow up outside of the world’s view.”
Spears had to put her acting career on hold when she chose to become a parent. She starred in the kids show Zoey 101 from 2005 to 2008.
She got married in 2014 and released a country music album called The Journey.
Jamie Lynn Spears: When the Lights Go Out premieres on TLC Sunday, June 26, at 10 p.m. ET.
