Calgary Stampede unveils 2016 Coca-Cola Stage lineup

Organizers have revealed which bands will be performing at the Coca-Cola stage during the 2016 Calgary Stampede.

The lineup was announced during the annual Coca-Cola Covert Concert at Flames Central on Thursday.

The first artist to be unveiled was Coleman Hell, who took to the stage to perform a half-hour set including his single “2 Heads.”

Afterward, the Calgary Stampede announced the additional 14 artists set to play during the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, including local favourites The Dudes and Jocelyn Alice, Juno Award-winner Classified and Vancouver quintet Mother Mother.

Among the bands unveiled was American alternative rock bank X Ambassadors, who then performed for the crowd, including renditions of their singles “Renegades” and “Unsteady.”

Concerts on the Coca-Cola Stage are free with park admission.

The 2016 Calgary Stampede runs from July 8 to 17.
