Brad Wall’s popularity continues to climb, poll finds

REGINA – Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall is Canada’s most popular provincial leader, according to a new Angus Reid Poll.

Wall, whose Saskatchewan Party government won a third-straight majority government in April, has an approval rating of 66 per cent, up four per cent from February.

Brian Pallister, the newly-elected premier of Manitoba is polling at 46 per cent popularity, the second highest after Wall. Alberta Premier Rachel Notley currently sits at 32 per cent popularity.

Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Dwight Ball sits the lowest at 17 per cent popularity.

The Angus Reid Institute conducted the poll from May 6 to 16 using an online survey of 5,300 Canadian adults in a randomized and representative sample of Angus Reid Forum panelist.

A probability sample of this size carries a margin of error of +/-2%, 19 times out of 20.
