A 21-year-old Oakville man has been charged in connection with a fatal multi-vehicle collision in west-end Toronto on Tuesday.
Police say the accused was driving a 2010 Kia Forte northbound on Highway 27 near Humber College Boulevard around 1:50 p.m. when he rear-ended a 2007 Toyota Corolla causing it to lose control and strike a 2005 Nissan Altima.
Both the Nissan and Toyota then crossed the southbound lanes and were struck by a dump truck.
The 72-year-old driver of the Toyota suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say three others suffered minor injuries.
The accused has been identified as Albert Opoku and charged with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
