ATV passenger killed in crash with truck on Sask. First Nation

Saskatchewan RCMP say a woman is dead after a collision involving a truck and an ATV on Fishing Lake First Nation. File / Global News

Saskatchewan RCMP attended a fatal collision between a pickup truck and an ATV on Monday. Emergency services were called to the crash shortly after 8 p.m. CT on the Fishing Lake First Nation.

Police say an adult passenger on the ATV was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman’s name has not been released.

A seven-year-old child with serious but non-life threatening injuries was transported by STARS air ambulance. The child was also on the ATV.

The truck driver was not injured.

Wadena RCMP say alcohol is not believed to be a factor as they investigate with the assistance of a collision reconstructionist.
