Canadian weightlifter Christine Girard won a bronze medal in women’s 63-kilogram event at London Olympics on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old weightlifter completed a lift of 103 kg, but was not able to lift 105 kg on two subsequent attempts.

It put her in fourth place before the clean and jerk, where she lifted 130 kg and 133 kg, clinching the bronze medal.
Girard, from Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, finished in fourth place in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. She currently lives in White Rock, B.C.
It was Canada’s third bronze medal on Tuesday, and the fourth of the Games.
