UPDATE: Police arrest one man after Bowness vandalism spree

 One man has been arrested and police are searching for anothe, following a small crime spree in Bowness early Monday morning.

A man living in 8100 block of 44 Avenue northwest awoke around 3:30 a.m. to the sound of his front window smashing.

He found a large rock inside his living room.

By the time he ran outside the suspects had escaped.

Shortly after, fire crews were called to several recycling bin blazes not far away, along the 7900 block of 43rd Avenue northwest.

Finally, fire crews responded to a blaze in a northwest apartment building. They arrived at Glenbow Manor to find a man fighting a fire in a garbage bin in the foyer of the building, located in the 4600 block of 73 street northwest.

He was treated for smoke inhalation, and several others were evacuated from the building.

Police have arrested an 18-year-old man, and are searching for a second suspect
