Trekkies, Trekkers, whatever you call yourselves, get ready — CBS has released its first trailer for the new Star Trek TV series.
Not much is revealed in the teaser trailer, but it does a fantastic job of psyching Trek fans up for the series, which is being shot in Toronto starting in September.

As the camera pans past alien worlds, the words “New crews,” “new villains,” “new heroes” and “new worlds” pop up on the screen to the original Star Trek music. Dissect however you will, but it reads like the new sci-fi series will feature a lot of variety, with new characters and locales to know and love.
The show won’t be aired on television, but instead on CBS’ on-demand subscription service. It seems unlikely that anyone outside of the United States will be able to view it (legally, that is), unless a Canadian network decides to pick it up for broadcast.

So far, it’s unclear what the plan is, but there’s still quite a bit of time until the series is finished production.
For those who can’t wait, Star Trek Beyond, the latest movie in the franchise, will be released on July 22, 2016.
