MONTREAL – Three men were seriously injured in a bar brawl in St. Constant early Friday.
According to Stéphane Robert, a spokesperson for Roussillon regional police, the trio showed up at Le Monchamp bar about 1:30 a.m. with the specific intention to get into a fight.
When police arrived at the scene, the three were battered, bloodied up and unconscious on the ground outside, Robert said.
They were brought to Anna Laberge Hospital in Châteauguay.

Because of the extent of their injuries, two of the men were subsequently transferred to a hospital in Montreal.
Robert said he could not name the hospital.
Police have no leads regarding the identitity of the trio’s assailants, he said.
One of the victims is now conscious.
He is, however, not cooperating with police.
Patrons of the bar were also not cooperating with police.
Robert said all three victims have had prior run-ins with law enforcement.
The brawl follows on the heels of two recent incidents in the city – one in Chinatown, where a video of a plate-throwing brawl went viral – and the other in North Montreal, where a police officer was injured and 14 people were arrested.
