Police ask for help solving Saskatoon gas station robbery

SASKATOON – Police are trying to identify a man responsible for an armed robbery at a Saskatoon gas station on Wednesday. Surveillance images have been released by investigators in an attempt to identify him.

Officers were called to the business at 8th Street and Cumberland Avenue at around 7:40 a.m. CT.

An employee reported a man, armed with what appeared to be a handgun, entered the store and demanded cash. He then fled the scene.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid- to late-20s, and five-foot nine with a medium build. He was wearing a grey hat, black jacket and black pants at the time of the robbery.
