Kelowna Mountie receives community service award

KELOWNA – He serves his community as a police officer and as coach for youth sports.

Now he has been recognized for his endeavours working with youth.

The Kelowna branch of the International Order of Daughters of the Empire has presented its RCMP Community Service Award to dog handler Cst. Reg Sahay.

Sahay coaches youngsters in martial arts, football and soccer.

“Cst. Sahay is tireless volunteer and supporter of youth as well as an excellent police officer” says Kelowna commanding officer Superintendent Nick Romanchuk in a news release. ” I am very proud of the work that he has done and continues to do on a daily basis”.
