SASKATOON – A former teacher found not guilty of wrongdoing by a court of law will soon find out if she was guilty of professional misconduct. A disciplinary hearing was held Tuesday for Erin Osmond and an agreed statement of facts was submitted to the ethics committee.
In 2012-13, while filling a maternity leave position at Watrous High School, Osmond began text messaging a male student.
When her job-term came to an end, the two engaged in sexual intercourse.
At the time, he was the legal age of consent – 16; she was 27.
RCMP would later charge her with two counts of sexual exploitation.

Last May, a judge found the Crown didn’t prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Osmond was guilty of the crime.
