Third arrest made in Westmount Foods armed robbery

SASKATOON – Police have made a third arrest after an armed robbery last month in Saskatoon. On April 11, four people armed with a gun threatened an employee at Westmount Foods in the 800-block of 29th Street West before fleeing with cash.

Police say they arrested a man on Thursday and have charged him with robbery, wearing a disguise with intent to commit a robbery, and breach of probation, along with unrelated Criminal Code warrants.

He is scheduled to appear Thursday morning in Saskatoon provincial court.

On April 18, police made their first arrest in the investigation and a second arrest was made the following week.

Detectives are still trying to identify the fourth person caught on a surveillance camera. Anyone with information is asked to contact Saskatoon police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
