Police have found a car caught on camera speeding the wrong way through a red light outside a Markham school, and are now trying to identify its driver.
A public tip gave police the licence plate number of the beige 2004 Toyota Corolla after video of the incident was released Tuesday, leading to the car being located, York Regional Police said.

The Corolla blew through the intersection during lunch hour on April 18 in front of Brother Andre Catholic High School on 16th Avenue, east of Markham Road.
Dash cam footage uploaded to YouTube shows two westbound vehicles with an open lane between them are stopped at the light, as two girls holding pizza walk on the adjacent sidewalk.
The speeding car then comes out of nowhere from the opposite direction, zipping through the narrow gap before disappearing in the blink of an eye.
