Mother’s acquaintance charged with Hamilton baby’s death

TORONTO – A Hamilton man is in court Wednesday morning after police charged him with the murder of a toddler, who was found dead last week.

Officers were called to the residence of 514 King Street East, in the late evening hours of July 13, and found a 26-month-old child without any vital signs.

The victim – Noah Keizer – was rushed to hospital, where he later died.

An autopsy revealed that his death was not accidental.

Greg Dallet, 25, an acquaintance of the family was the boy’s caregiver at the time of his death, according to police. He is now facing a second degree murder charge in relation to the toddler’s murder

Keizer’s death is Hamilton’s fourth homicide of the year.
