MONTREAL – Maya Bazeribashi normally takes the Metro from Laval to the Vendôme station, where she hops on a bus to Concordia University.
On Tuesday, she said her commute was a bit longer – and in the opposite direction – to her destination:
“I took two buses to be able to take the metro to Cote-Vertu,” she told Global News.

An incident at the Crémazie station stopped Metro service from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, wreaking havoc with commuters’ plans.
What frustrated passengers most were regular announcements that service would be “reestablished soon.”
“Every minute or so they extended the delay,” said Louise Lafierté, a frustrated commuter.
Over the past three years, the STM has recorded a steadily rising incident rate – from under 900 in 2013 to 950 in 2015.
