A Frenchman was given a surprise earlier this month when the fast food he ordered was staring back at him.

Mounir Bessaïh ordered chicken wings during a visit to a Quick fast food location on April 18, only to find a crispy chicken’s head included in the bag.

Bessaïh, of Montpelier, France, uploaded a short video of the incident to YouTube on Friday, which has since gone viral online.

Bessaïh told French daily newspaper Le Parisien that he nearly bit into the head, saying he “thought it was a bone.”

Quick responded to the incident on Saturday, apologizing to Bessaïh via a Facebook post.

“The team at Quick and our supplier of chicken wings are sincerely sorry about the mishap experienced by a customer of the restaurant…and for the shock that was produced by discovering a fried chicken head in a bag of chicken wings,” the translated post read.
