High water advisory in place for the Whiteshell

The Manitoba government has issued a high water advisory for the Whiteshell lakes in the eastern part of the province.

The province’s Hydrologic Forecast Centre says recent rainfall and late spring run-off are combining to raise water levels.

It says West Hawk Lake is at the upper end of its operating range and Falcon Lake is above its operating range.

The centre says some cottages on low-lying lots may be at risk.
