Hammonds Plains child offered drive home by unknown man: RCMP

HALIFAX — RCMP in Hammonds Plains are investigating an incident involving a young student offered a drive home by an unknown man.

At approximately 3 p.m., a student from Kingswood Elementary School was approached and offered a drive by a man driving a newer two-door black car.

Police said the driver was described as white, in his late teens to early 20s, with his hair spiked up in the front.

RCMP are asking parents to remind their children of the importance of not speaking to strangers or accepting drives from people they don’t know.

The incident is under investigation and police are looking to speak with the driver to clarify his intent.
