Global News wins 21 RTDNA Awards

Global News has been recognized with a total of 21 awards at this year’s RTDNA Awards.

RTDNA Canada, the Association of Electronic Journalists, honour the best journalists, programs, stations and newsgathering organizations in radio, television and digital annually.

Several Global News personalities received lifetime achievement awards, including assignment editor and journalist Clive Jackson, who retired from Global BC last summer after 25 years and Global News Edmonton anchor Gord Steinke.

In the Atlantic region, RTDNA honoured former Global Halifax news anchor Allan Rowe posthumously. Rowe, who went into provincial politics, died a year ago.
