Stobbe, Saskatchewan Craft Council part ways

Mark Stobbe will not be returning to his position as executive director of the Saskatchewan Craft Council. 

He was on a six-month leave from his post during his second-degree murder trial in Winnipeg.

He was accused in the 2000 slaying of his wife, Beverly Rowbotham. 

Stobbe was acquitted this past March. 

The Craft Council says Stobbe contributed greatly during his five-and-half years as executive director. 

According to the council, the former advisor to Roy Romanow has decided to take a new career direction.
