The total closure starts at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday. The roadways will be open again at 5 a.m. Thursday.

The cross-beam on the Walterdale Bridge was damaged by a truck carrying a high load. While the damage poses no threat to safety, the City of Edmonton said it needs to be replaced.
