Police say the alleged impaired driver, a 24-year-old man from Oliver, then got out his truck and threatened the motorist with a crowbar.

“All available police resources responded and surrounded the area,” said Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth.

According to RCMP the driver then got back in his truck, sped off and lost control, hitting a concrete median.

The Oliver man tried to escape on foot but police arrested him, without incident, a short distance away.
