CALGARY – Firefighters were called to a blaze that sparked at an abandoned structure in the city’s southwest on Friday morning.
The fire started in a field just south of 194 Avenue S.W. and Silverado Blvd S.W. at around 5:45 a.m.
Because of the location of the blaze, crews had limited water to fight the fire with.
Crews were able to extinguish the fire by around 7 a.m. but the structure was completely gutted.

No injuries were reported.
CFD Battalion Chief Al Magwood said the fire department had visited the same property for a fire a few months ago.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
