Whistler RCMP are investigating after a skier was found dead in the west ridge area of Whistler Mountain Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., officers attended and found a 48-year-old woman at the base of a 25-meter cliff.

Investigators say the victim was discovered by a skier in the area.
Whistler ski patrol and on-mountain physicians were unable to resuscitate the woman.
The investigation continues and the B.C. Coroner Service is now involved.
